About the event

Celebrating all things food and drink, this fun event has been organised in association with The Truckle Truck (your favourite source of the finest cheeses) and Shaftesbury Feastival. Fabulous local chef, Philippa Davis, will be our compere for the evening, guiding you through the evening’s questions. We are delighted to be hosting this fun event for the second year running!

Get your best team together, swot up on the latest foodie facts (if you needed an excuse to sample various food items, this is it) and come on down to join in the fun. There will be suitably delicious prizes for the winning teams. Our gates (and bar) open at 6pm with the quiz starting promptly at 6.30pm.

We’ll have a foodie pop-up on site from 6pm, so there’s no need to worry about supper! More info coming soon.

Please car share where possible as parking is limited.

All profits raised from entry fees will be used to donate to a local food bank.

NB: Bookings will be allocated tables, so please ensure you book your team’s tickets together! Maximum of 6 people per team.

Tickets £2.50

The Byzant

Sunday 4th May, 2pm
Starting outside Shaftesbury Town Hall

You are cordially invited to take part in this glorious slice of Shaftesbury history – the Byzant Walk!
The Byzant tradition dates back hundreds of years – a walk from the town centre to Enmore Green to thank Gillingham for access to its springs. Over the centuries it’s been revived, retired, and reimagined… but this year, it’s back once more as part of Shaftesbury Feastival.

Join in from 2pm outside the Town Hall. Period costume is encouraged but optional! Led by Chair of Gold Hill Museum Elaine Barratt, the walk is full of curious customs and stories, including a certain mysterious object that must be carried through the streets
